Fair play for every athlete. Applies to leaderboard submissions, virtual championships, challenges, and sanctioned live events. World Dead Hang Championship LLC · Governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
1. Scope
This policy governs verification, anti-fraud, and fair play for all WDHC activities on worlddeadhang.com and at sanctioned events. It supplements the Rulebook, Virtual Championship SOP, Code of Conduct, and Terms & Conditions.
2. Verification Standards
All competitive hangs must meet the official Rulebook, including:
- Compliant bar per the Rulebook for verified hangs (1.25" standard gym bar; steel, powder coat, or light knurling); any size bar accepted for unverified
- Overhand grip, no straps/gloves/grip aids; chalk and liquid chalk encouraged; single continuous unedited video
- Full body visible; timer or verifiable time reference on screen
- ±3 second timing tolerance per the Terms
- Accurate athlete identity, age category, and division at time of submission
WDHC verifiers and automated checks may flag submissions for manual review. A verified badge on the leaderboard means WDHC has reviewed the hang against these standards at the time of approval.
3. Prohibited Acts
- Video editing, splicing, speed changes, or time manipulation
- False identity, duplicate accounts, proxy submissions, or impersonation
- Non-compliant equipment (bar, grip, support) without disclosure
- Misrepresentation of age, weight, training status, or eligibility
- Collusion to inflate scores, share accounts, or manipulate challenge standings
- Interference with verification, appeals, or official processes
- Retaliatory or bad-faith reports against other athletes
4. Virtual Championships
Virtual title events follow the Virtual Championship SOP. One athlete account per person. Championship-eligible hangs must be submitted during the published season window and remain verifiable through finals lock. WDHC may withhold or revoke a title for video fraud, rule violations, or conduct breaches.
5. Reporting Suspected Fraud
Anyone may report suspected integrity violations to hello@worlddeadhangchampionship.com. Include the athlete name or submission ID, a description of the concern, and any evidence (links, timestamps, screenshots). WDHC reviews good-faith reports confidentially and does not tolerate harassment of athletes under investigation.
6. Investigation & Sanctions
WDHC may investigate complaints, provisionally suspend leaderboard status, request re-submission or additional proof, and impose sanctions including:
- Warning or provisional hold on verification
- Removal from leaderboard, challenges, or championship standings
- Disqualification from virtual or live title events
- Temporary or permanent account suspension
Severe or repeated violations may result in public record removal and permanent ban. WDHC documents verification notes internally for historical integrity even when video files are not retained.
7. Substance & Performance Misrepresentation
While dead hang is not a WADA Olympic sport, WDHC prohibits performance fraud and deliberate misrepresentation of training, equipment, or health status. Sanctioned live events may adopt additional health and safety rules when announced.
8. Appeals & Disputes
General record disputes: Athletes may dispute a verification or integrity decision in writing within 7 days per the Record Dispute Process in our Terms.
Virtual championship titles: Appeals of published championship results follow the Virtual Championship SOP (14 days from published result, with submission ID and evidence). WDHC provides a final written response; decisions are final for that season except where required by law.
